WITH reference to the article: “Wisdom and folly in wielding the rod” (StarEducation, Oct 19), I’m writing this for parents and teachers who want to learn something from a father of four.
In the article were the views of parents and students on the use of the cane at school. Among them was a father who wasn’t against using the rod and his son who agreed with him. Well, maybe the son couldn’t say anything else, to avoid getting caned for not having the same opinion as his father.
