SOUTH-EAST Asia Marangoni Information Center (Seamic) has announced that the scholarship offer for Milan's Istituto Marangoni summer course in London is still open.
The deadline has been extended to May 15.
Founded in 1935, Istituto Marangoni has produced prestigious designers, such as Dolce, Gabanna, Moschino and many others.
In conjunction with the opening of its new campus in London early this year, three summer course scholarships are offered to South-East Asian students, who can choose to attend either a Fashion Design or Image Consult summer course, from Aug 4 to Aug 22.
The Fashion Design course introduces students to all aspects of the fashion design world – from drawing lessons, to colour charts, fabrics, accessories, and economic and commercial considerations.
The Image Consultant course focuses on two new fashion professions – the image consultant and the personal shopper.
The programme ranges from defining the various moods of fashion to understanding the importance of accessories, and from affirming a certain style to constructing a successful look.
School-leavers and adults in related fields who reside in South-East Asia are eligible to apply.
The scholarship covers enrolment and tuition fees. Accommodation, school materials, return air fare and daily allowances will be borne by the candidates.
