Telling fake from real

So how does one suss out a phony PhD from a genuine one? Pretty much the same way one would distinguish a fake Rolex from the real thing – thorough examination. 

Says Prof Khoo, “I am always critical when people tell me they have got their PhDs but are unable to talk about their research or their inventions. To determine the true 'Dr' from a fake one, I would just ask them what their area of specialisation is and also about their ideas.”
