WHO would have thought that someone who has spent the last 30 years in insurance actually started off a planter? Robert K.C. Lee, who is president of life insurance at Malaysian Assurance Alliance Bhd (MAA Assurance), was once an estate planter.
He says: ''The generator for electricity would be turned off by 11pm so there was complete darkness after that. I couldn't get used to the lifestyle, so I started looking for something else to do. Though I discovered insurance by accident over 30 years ago, I have never regretted my decision to join the industry.”
