Tribute to fallen Russian sailors

A MEMORIAL service was organised by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Malaysia to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Penang.

The ceremony, attended by Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, about 20 Russian diplomats and several local dignitaries, was held at the Western Road Cemetery where 10 of the federation’s fallen sailors were buried.
