CROWDS thronged the Star Property Fair 2014 at G Hotel and Gurney Plaza in Penang to check out the latest property offerings and upcoming launches by the country’s leading developers and real estate agencies.
Exhibitors fielded many inquiries by eager house buyers and investors who were spoilt for choice with the countless options available at the northern region’s premier property showcase during its opening yesterday.
Elaborate scale models took pride of place at equally impressive booths located around the event venues, giving visitors a glimpse of the envisioned developments as they weighed up their options.
Eco World Development Group Bhd, the fair’s largest exhibitor, treated its customers to light snacks and refreshments as they browsed featured projects like its maiden Penang undertaking — the EcoTerraces in Paya Terubong.
Also on show are EcoSky in Kuala Lumpur, EcoMajestic in Selangor, as well as EcoSpring, EcoSummer and EcoBotanic in Johor as the company made its presence felt in its Star Property Fair debut.
According to its chief operating officer Datuk S. Rajoo, they always go the extra mile to engage customers and give them warm hospitality while briefing them about the company’s products.
“Eco World offers residents sustainable, world-class eco-living, in line with our ethos of creating tomorrow and beyond,” said Rajoo.
At Nusmetro Group’s booths, customers were drawn to an interactive holographic display of the facilities at its Arte S development in Bukit Gambir, which is part of its Arte Series.
Marketing communications executive Ng Jo Wen said the collection of four projects was driven by iconic artistry and creativity and the three-dimensional hologram was a fitting way to showcase it.
“It’s a great way to show prospective buyers the unique elements found inside our development,” he added.
Over at Ivory Properties Group Bhd’s booth, customers were drawn to its mega waterfront development, Penang WorldCity, located along the island’s southeastern coast, which is set to be completed within the next 10 years.
Corporate communications manager Ann Tan said there was much interest in the project, which would be a modern, mini international township integrating residences with retail, F&B and office spaces, as well a hotel and convention centre.
“It boasts a great location between the two Penang bridges and will one day be ‘the destination’ to live, do business, visit and indulge,” Tan pointed out.
Also featured were The Wave and The Central, which are Phases 3 and 4 respectively at Penang Times Square in George Town.
Visitors also have a good reason to visit Ivory’s booth at Gurney Plaza’s center atrium, as the answer to one of the questions of the Dip & Win contest can be found there.
Adjacent to that, BSG Property showcased ongoing high-rise residential developments like the Mira Residence and Raffel Tower, while Ewein Zenith Sdn Bhd highlighted its City of Dreams.
Other notable offerings are Mah Sing Group Bhd’s Southbay City, which includes the Legenda@Southbay premium resort bungalows, The Loft luxury suites, and Southbay Plaza urban residential suites.
Asia Green Property Development featured The Clovers, a verdant high-end residential development inspired by the four-leaf clover along with QuayWest Residences that offer an upscale waterfront lifestyle.
Those looking for properties in the Klang Valley are well catered to with UEM Sunrise Bhd’s Arcoris Mont’Kiara and Residensi22 in the cosmopolitan enclave along with Symphony Hills in Cyberjaya, which will be the country’s first Connected Intelligent Community.
The Star Property Fair 2014 continues until Sunday, and is open daily from 10am to 10pm. Admission is free.
