Malls criticise Sarawak Energy Bhd over frequent blackouts

KUCHING: In a highly unusual move, the Shopping and Highrise Management Association (SHMA), which represents malls here, including Plaza Merdeka and The Spring, have publicly criticised Sarawak Energy Bhd (SEB) over frequent blackouts.

“Power outages from 2012 until this month have resulted in severe losses of potential sales and income that affect all of us,” it said in a SHMA press release, which was one of two similar statements issued yesterday.
