JOHOR BARU: The horse has been a symbol of power since the reign on emperors in ancient China where people of low status were not allowed to ride a horse or to have engravings of horses on their tombstone.
The Calligraphy Society of Malaysia Johor Baru chairman Yong Kim Jung said centuries ago, horses were exclusive to people of status such as state officials, doctors and artisans.
