ALOR SETAR: More than 4,300 students from 11 Sekolah Agama Rakyat (SAR) or commu-nity religious schools in the state received RM654,450 in meal allowances from the Federal Government.
Kedah Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Paduka Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said the food aid was promised by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin during his visit to the state in December 20 last year.
