Widow floored by makeover

WIDOW Hawabi Ali, 81, broke into tears of joy as soon when she saw the termite-infested wooden floor of her house being replaced after so many years.

Hawabi, who has been staying in the one room house with a small kitchen for 46 years, said the planks used to lay the floor were brittle and rotten along the edges.
