‘Spooky’ theme for Smith’s mansion


THE state government is mulling the idea of turning the hauntingly beautiful Kellie’s Castle in Batu Gajah into a site for paranormal tourism.

State Tourism Committee chairman Datuk Hamidah Osman said the unfinished grand mansion, built by Scottish planter William Kellie Smith for his wife, had a reputation of being haunted and could attract tourists from all over the world.
