THE fate of young equestrian N. Shoorendran, who is seeking to compete in his last Sukma Games, lies in the balance after the Penang Sports Council refused to release him from the Penang team.
The 20-year-old, who bagged a gold medal in the team event in the 2008 Sukma followed by another gold medal in the 2010 Sukma for the individual show jumping event, has requested for a release letter from the council to enable him to register for the Federal Territory equestrian team.
