MIRI: There is an eerie silence in Baram constituency, which could be due to a heavy political undercurrent caused by uncertainty concerning who actually is the Barisan Nasional candidate for the seat this coming parliamentary elections.
As for PKR, an announcement by its advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently that a 39-year-old lawyer, Roland Engan, would be their man for the constituency, has settled the issue for the Opposition.
