GLOBAL business communications and collaboration systems and services provider Avaya, announced two enhancements to its Asia Pacific Leadership Team, recently — Ray Teske and Lee Chong-Win.

Teske will assume leadership of Service Provider and Global Alliances business across the Asia Pacific geography, working predominantly with Apac Service Providers on bringing to market cloud-based communication capabilities and solutions for businesses across the region.

This will span Unified Communications, Contact Centre, Video and Networking solutions ‘as a service’ and will ensure companies wanting to leverage cloud-based communications solutions have access to the same technology and innovation as customers with on-premises equipment.

Teske and his team will leverage Avaya’s global and Apac experience in deploying cloud-based solutions, and continue to drive innovative hosted models and solutions to reduce cost of ownership and deployment for both service providers and end users.

He has over 20 years of experience in the communications industry across enterprise, service provider and channel-focused roles and was most recently the managing director for Avaya’s Asean business.

Lee is Avaya’s new Asean managing director.

He will be responsible for continuing to drive growth in this dynamic and varied market, with a focus on the core countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Vietnam while growing Avaya’s business and presence in Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos.

Lee most recently led the Customer Experience Management business in Apac, focused on delivering best in class contact centre solutions to a diverse range of customers across the region.

Like Teske, Lee also brings extensive communications industry experience from previous leadership roles at Nortel, EMC and Periphonics, spanning sales, professional services and engineering disciplines.

These appointments are effective immediately. Teske and Lee continue to be based in Bangkok and Singapore respectively.

“The time is right to further enhance our focus on delivering innovative cloud and hosted business models to a broad Asia Pacific customer base, especially in support of our service provider partners, and Ray, with his extensive experience in driving businesses throughout the Apac geography is the ideal leader for this business.

“Chong-Win has similarly proved through a series of senior roles at both Nortel and Avaya that he has the vision and drive to lead the Asean business to new heights, with the close support and cooperation of our network of business partners across the region.

“These appointments will help ensure we can bring The Power of WeTM to an even broader range of customers in Asia Pacific – delivering faster collaboration for smarter decision-making and better business results,” said Avaya Asia Pacific president François Lançon.
