Preparing for life beyond prison walls

A TEMPORARY abode for newly paroled prisoners, who have entered the transitional period to begin their lives anew, has being hailed a success by prison authorities.

Pokok Sena prison director Senior Assist Comm Zawari Abdul Rashid said the prison authorities had endeavoured to provide a half-way home for these ex-prisoners, who felt uncomfortable initially about returning to society after serving their sentences.
