Naeem (right) said that Philips is one of the world's largest manufacturers of lighting and medical equipment.

WHEN Naeem Shahab Khan decided to join us for a Power Lunch session, I was under the impression that the conversation would revolve around consumer electronics and appliances seeing that he was the Philips Group of Companies in Malaysia chief executive officer.

However, Naeem informed me that consumer products are far from their core business.
