WITH the proliferation of social media networking sites and camera-equipped handphones, the younger generation are increasingly taking and uploading self-shots of themselves, oftentimes with exaggerated expressions.
Such an image, which has come to shape the modern identity of ‘self’, is a favourite subject matter of Vincent Phang, a lecturer at Equator Academy of Art, as evident in his first solo exhibition titled ‘Facebook Illustration 2012’.
