Family loses RM20,000 to fake inspector in hopes of brother’s release

IPOH: A fake police inspector has allegedly duped a woman into parting with RM20,000 cash.

The person, who identified himself as Inspector Faiz, had phoned 26-year-old T. Ranjani on June 18 and offered help to secure her brother’s release on bail by paying RM20,000.
