Temple demolished in Bangsar


AN 80-year-old temple in Bangsar has been demolished and a 100-year-old banyan tree in the premises has been uprooted by Kuala Lumpur City Hall officers.

Sugayindran Vellasamy, 56, who claims to be the original owner of the land and runs the Sri Muneswarar temple in Kampung Haji Abdullah Hukum, said the land belonged to his grandfather and had been unlawfully taken away from his family.
