THE state’s aquaculture marine industry generated a two-fold increase in supply of fish from 2006 to 2010, said state Agriculture, Agro-based Industry, Rural Development and Flood Mitigation Committee chairman Law Choo Kiang.
He said aquaculture, through the breeding of fishes in man-made ponds, produced 6,655 metric tonnes of fish in 2010 compared to 3,036 metric tonnes in 2006.
