State: Put in ramps

THE Penang Government will appeal to the Transport Ministry to restore three essential road ramps to a flyover project which is part of the Ipoh-Padang Besar electrified double-trekking project.

State Public Works Department (PWD) director Ahmad Latif Abdul Hamid said only one ramp in Jalan Padang Lalang had been approved for the 1.2km-long flyover which stretched over the railway tracks to connect Jalan Nangka with Jalan Perda Timur in Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam.
