THE Penang Government will soon meet up with operators of hypermarkets, departmental stores, mini markets and retailers to get them to stop using and selling polystyrene utensils and food packaging in Penang.
State Health, Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Committee chairman Phee Booh Poh said the state would seek the operators’ co-operation to adhere to the statewide ban on polystyrene which was made from non-biodegradable material.
