Cheer for Tamil school

SWITCHBOARD manufacturer NationGate Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in Prai has donated RM8,500 to a Tamil school in Permatang Tinggi.

The management donated the sum to SRJK(T) Permatang Tinggi near Bukit Mertajam. It will go towards the installation of a public address system.

Company general manager Lee Kim San presented the cheque to the school’s Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) committee at the plant in the Prai Industrial Estate.

Also present were the company’s Human Resources and Administra-tion manager David Lim Kee Beng.

Lee said this was part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility

Lim said the company had donated money to various NGOs and schools, including RM100,000 to the proposed SMK(C) Jit Sin Simpang Ampat in south Seberang Prai, RM20,000 to SMJK(C) Chung Ling in Butterworth under the Penang Science Council project, RM10,000 to SMK Bagan Jaya and RM100,000 to the Penang Family Health Development Association.
