Kiwi coaches get their instructions across despite language setback

THE Kiwi rugby coaches’ command of Bahasa Malaysia were confined to several simple words closely related to speed during their recent one-week debut appearance in Malaysia under the Klang Valley-based Bintang Rugby Club (BRC) development initiatives.

Despite their limited command of the local language, the SM Sains Selangor (SMSS) trainees heard their instructions loud and clear when the coaching team comprising six coaches from the Inside Running Academy told them to get moving in performing the drills with straightforward directives such as cepat (fast) and lari (run).
