BUDDY BEARS

THE United Buddy Bears World Tour will come to an end this Feb 15. The Buddy Bears exhibition was first held in Berlin in 2002. The world tour is now in its seventh year with the bears having made their way to over 22 exhibitions to cities such as Hong Kong, Istanbul, Tokyo, Seoul, Sydney, Cairo, Buenos Aires and Helsinki. Grab your chance to view the 147 larger-than-life sculptures from around the world at the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur today.

ART EXHIBITION

Malaysian artist Liew Choong Ching is showcasing his newest ‘Shadow Boxing’ series at Seni Gallery @ Seni Mont Kiara from today until Feb 19. ‘Shadow Boxing’ sees Liew’s latest attempt and breakthrough from his times of Balinese portraits and still life of tropical fruits. The artist uses the theme of kickboxing with shadow play to express hope and challenges in life. The gallery is located in Changkat Duta Kiara, off Jalan Duta Kiara, Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. LESSONS IN LOVE

AMNESTY International Malaysia will be screening a movie titled Lessons of Love at the Annexe Gallery in Central Market, Kuala Lumpur today. The screening will be from 10am to 6pm.

WORLD PRESS PHOTOS

IF A picture tells a thousand words, World Press Photo 11 is an encyclopaedic collection of the events that made 2010. The free walk-in exhibition at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre features 177 award-winning photographs on display beginning with the visually arresting World Press Photo of the Year of Bibi Aisha, an 18-year-old Afghan woman whose nose and ears were disfigured as retribution for fleeing an abusive husband.
