THE Hokkien community in Penang is busy preparing for the Jade Emperor’s birthday or Thnee Kong Seh on the ninth day of the lunar calendar which falls tomorrow.
Devotees were seen thronging major wet markets in the state such as Chowrasta to shop for offerings, including sugarcane stalks and traditional cakes.
