Objection to nine-hour work

KUCHING: School teachers, including headmasters and principals throughout the country, are strongly against a proposal requiring them to work nine hours a day.

Sarawak Teachers’ Union (STU) president William Ghani Bina said a national-level workshop, involving representatives from all the 24 teachers unions nationwide, national principals associations and the national headmasters council was expected to meet at any time between this month and the next to discuss the issue.
