Business centres on numerical philosophy

VISIBER founders Datuk Patrick Tan and Datuk David Hew believe that everything that a person does or the things that happen to a person can be explained in numbers.

“We use numbers to explain and relate the reasons behind things that happen, such as a person’s life or the business market, as we don’t believe that everything happens by chance,” said Hew.

“Visiber was founded on the notion that everything can be related to numbers.

“Since Visiber’s establishment in 2003, we have built a small empire over the use, design and philosophy system built on numbers.”

The name “Visiber”, which is a combination of “vision” and “number”, symbolises the company’s philosophy that those with a dream or vision can go far when they are equipped with the knowledge of numbers.

“We study behavioural patterns in a person’s life or business that determine a certain outcome,” said Hew.

“We look at things that attract human attention and why people react to certain numbers.

“Our approach is to look at things that you attract and numbers that relate to yourself,” he said.

“Numbers are then used to explain the processes involved in something with clear objectives and directives.

“Basically, the target is quantified in number form so there is a defined value in everything you do.”

Visiber subsequently developed a range of products like jewellery and decorative items centred around numbers to complement its services.

“We use a certain calculation to explain a person’s personality, behavioural pattern or certain phenomenon,” said Hew.

“Individuals will be encouraged to wear our products to enhance what is needed or lacking, while corporations will be advised on strategies they need to apply.

“By wearing or honing in on a particular number, the individual will be reminded on what they need to do and enhance their ability to work towards that goal.”

According to Hew, the numbers one to nine have their individual intrinsic value, such as “one” representing leadership and “nine” representing success.

“The products have their aesthetic value in the form of five colours representing the five elements – fire, water, earth, wood and metal,” he said.

“Visiber’s jewellery range features rings, pendants, bracelets and earrings, using techniques and product designs that have been patented and trademarked.

“The existing White Gold range is priced at RM30,000 and above per item.

“We recently introduced the Silver range that is targeted at the younger market, with prices in the RM300 to RM1,500 range.”

The company has also expanded its services to include symbols, branding, media planning as well as education and training.

The four pillars of Visiber education are: Numbers Behavioural Studies (that numbers can reveal the true meaning of a person’s life), Numbers Environmental Studies (study of environmental influence on human beings derived from the Numbers Formula), Numbers Nameology (discovering the hidden messages in a person’s name and its effects), and Numbers Symbology (study on the mystery of symbols, understanding their meanings and harnessing their powers).

Visiber presently has six concept stores, 19 education centres and five branches in Malaysia.

“Our clientele is made up of more than 100,000 individuals and corporations altogether, and we have close to 40,000 distributors,” said Hew, adding that the company recorded a turnover of more than RM400mil over the past five years.

“Visiber will be opening an office in Singapore next month. We are looking at expanding our business overseas to Jakarta, Hong Kong, Sydney and Zurich.”
