THE RM100mil allocation to Chinese, Tamil, religious and missionary schools under Budget 2012 was unexpected, said Penang MCA secretary Lau Chiek Tuan.
He said 10 Penang national- type secondary schools received RM1mil each when Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib participated in the 1Malaysia Charity Ride for Education programme in Penang recently.
