OLDER civil servants in Penang welcome the move to extend their retirement age from 58 to 60, as unveiled by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in Budget 2012.
National Union of the Teaching Profession (NUTP) president Hashim Adnan said it is a wise move by the Government as those aged over 58 are still healthy and can contribute their expertise and skill to the country.
