AFTER scoring seven As in her UPSR last year, Ong Wen Xin kept her promise by ‘returning’ a bunch of pens and pencils at the Cheng Ji Chan (1,002 steps in Hokkien) Temple in Penang.
The 13-year-old pupil was among hundreds of young devotees who thronged the hilltop temple in Paya Terubong to ‘give back’ pencils and pens which they ‘borrowed’ last year from Confucius, the patron saint of education.
