IN conjunction with the International Day of Non-Violence marked by the United Nations to honour the late Mahatma Gandhi on the anniversary of his birth — a 5km run and various side events will be held in Penang on Oct 2.
About 2,500 participants are expected for the event, themed ‘Run For Peace 2011’, to be held at Universiti Sains Malaysia’s (USM) stadium in Jalan Bukit Gambir from 6.30am to 11am.
