GEORGE TOWN: A police report has been made against PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu who allegedly claimed reimbursement of medical fees for injuries sustained during the Bersih 2.0 rally from Penang Water Supply Corporation Sdn Bhd (PBAPP).
Penang Indian Development Organisation (PIDO) M. Nyana Segaran, who lodged the police report at the Bayan Baru police station, also said Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng had allegedly misused his power when approving the reimbursement.
“We will leave it to the police to investigate the matter,” he said.
Mat Sabu is a director of PBA Holdings Berhad, the parent company of PBAPP.
Tanjung Umno division deputy chief Raja Munir Shah Raja Mustapha also lodged a police report against Mat Sabu on his alleged remark that the communist terrorists who attacked the Bukit Kepong police station in the 1950s were the true heroes of the country.
Mat Sabu, when contacted, said it was his right as a director of PBA Holdings to claim reimbursement for the medical fees.
