Dr Teng under attack over Jelutong dumpsite issue

GEORGE TOWN: Penang Gerakan chairman Datuk Dr Teng Hock Nan has come under fire from two state exco members over his statement on championing the rights of those living in the vicinity of the Jelutong dumpsite.

State Local Government and Traffic Management Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said Dr Teng does not deserve to be the mouthpiece of the residents as he had advocated a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) system at the dumpsite when he was a state exco member during the previous state administration.
