The Selangor government will select poor people and single mothers to undergo a handicraft-making programme and encourage them to go into business.
State Tourism, Consumer Affairs and Environment committee chairman Elizabeth Wong said the State Economic Planning Unit (Upen) would selected individuals for the Craft Mentor Programme and later on continue to guide them to become entrepreneurs.
