MALACCA: The Malacca Historical City Council (MBMB) had blamed scrap metal thieves in Jonker Street as culprits responsible for the missing manhole and drains covers in the area.
Mayor Zainal Abu said the council had replaced the missing and the damaged covers on numerous occasions but thefts of such items became a rampant issue in the city’s popular tourist belt.
