BUKIT MERTAJAM: Thousands of motorists heading towards Penang and Kedah were caught in a massive traffic jam which stretched some 30km.
The snarl-up started when a timber lorry crashed about 200m from the Jawi toll plaza after its driver lost control during a downpour on the North-South Expressway.
