HERITAGE now plays an important role in developing Penang’s economy, culture and arts following the state’s listing as a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
It is now timely for Penang to accelerate its learning curve in the field of heritage management and to equip people with the awareness about conservation and sustainable development of its heritage resources, said the George Town World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI) research officer Muhammad Hijas Sahari.
