A POSTER on the wall of a bookshop in Penang inspired Australian Noeleen Smith to face a gruelling battle against breast cancer and emerge a survivor.
The 58-year-old, who visits Penang frequently, chanced upon the poster which depicted gymnast Nadia Comaneci and a stimulating quote ‘Do not pray for an easy life, pray to be a strong person’ in 2004 and has lived by the quote since then.
