SYNDICATES who use the telephone to prey on people in Butterworth have continued to strike with ease. Two women are the latest to fall victims, losing around RM7,000 to callers who pretended to be Bank Negara officials.
The syndicate is believed to be conning those who are using either ATM or credit cards.
