Hitachi Malaysia marks centenary by holding charity flea bazaar

IN CONJUNCTION with their 100th anniversary, Hitachi Malaysia is organising the Hitachi Charity Flea Bazaar this Sunday.

The charity bazaar is open to the public and will be held from 11am to 3pm at the Saloma Theater Restaurant, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur.

All the items sold at the bazaar are personal items contributed by over 3,800 employees of the Hitachi Group Companies in Malaysia.

Some of the items to be sold are books, accessories, original CDs and digital video discs, kitchen ware, clothes, shoes and toys.

Hitachi Asia (Malaysia) managing director Seiji Yoshimura said they were honoured to be given an opportunity to give back to society.

All the funds raised will be channelled to a chapter in the Global Peace Association of Malaysia’s programme, the Character Education Programme (CEP).

GPA Malaysia president Tan Sri Zaleha Ismail said CEP was a national programme that brings the Government, schools, universities and families together to raise ethical, responsible, and caring children by teaching them good values.
