LABUAN: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) here had foiled at attempt to smuggle liquor into the island when a boat was detained about 100 metres from the Merantongan Sipitang beach.
Labuan MMEA operations unit officer Lt Commander Muhammad Suffi Mohd Ramli said a team from the agency was patrolling the waters on Friday night and gave chase to the boat.
