Cleaning up Batu Pahat rivers

BATU PAHAT: The Johor government has taken steps to clean up the rivers in Batu Pahat so that water from the rivers can be supplied to the two main water treatment plants here.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said the clean-up was to increase the quality of water in rivers and solve the water rationing problem, which often occurred during the drought season.
