Council chief and OCPD agree that scheme is illegal

AN individual, a group of people or a company cannot submit an application for a housing area to be gated and guarded, Ampang Jaya Municipal Council president Datuk Mohammad Yacob said.

“An application for an area to be gated and guarded must have the agreement of at least 85% of the residents and it must come from a registered residents’ association,” he stressed.
