IT was a day of double joy for George Town acting OCPD Supt Gan Kong Meng who was promoted to the rank of Asst Comm and appointed as the new George Town OCPD.
Penang police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Ayub Yaakob said ACP Gan was the best person to lead the district as he had served in most of the police departments throughout his 34 years in the force.
