Fire workshop

Bangsar Village will be hosting a fun and educational Fire Kids Club Safety Workshop with Captain Bala tomorrow from 11am to 1pm at its main concourse area. The programme, aimed at kids aged five to eleven, is a Children Fire Safety Programme initiated by the Malaysian Volunteer Fire and Rescue Assocation in 1999 in order to educate the younger generation in fire safety and learn how to escape and save themselves in the event of fire. Sponsored by the CIMB Foundation, the two-hour workshop will teach children, through fun exercises, important lessons on how to save themselves in the event of a fire. Participation in the programme is free but limited to the first 150 children who register for the workshop. The workshop will be conducted by the association chairman Captain K. Balasupramaniam and other volunteer firemen. For details, call 03-2282 1808 or 012 339 2433 (Lee Joo Khim).
