WHILE there has not been a yellow alert for thunderstorms in Kuala Lumpur, City Hall has mobilised its flood task force to be on standby in case of flooding. The 44-member rescue squad is on a 24-hour standby, working on three shifts. Each shift has about 10 to 12 personnel.
Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) superintendent Osman Ismail, from the DBKL security and enforcement department, said rescue squad members are further divided into medical officers, search and rescue team and scuba divers.
