Kedah artist’s paintings of flower come to life

KEDAH-BORN artist Chiang Soa Ling has a deep appreciation for orchids – the subject of most of his artworks.

Finding great joy in reproducing them on canvas with a photo-realistic feel, his cattleyas and dendrobiums (orchid species) complete with water droplets and insects in mid-air, are vivid and life-like.
