Small wound, severe outcome

WHEN she was in her late 30s, Ong Sim Lye (pic) had a wound on her right pinkie that just would not heal.

As it was a small wound, she paid little attention to it but decided to seek medical help after it persisted for about two weeks and the finger disturbingly swelled.
