SEPANG: The Malaysian government is fully committed to ensuring the safety of 34 Malaysians aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF), a humanitarian mission en route to Gaza, alongside more than 500 international participants currently facing a precarious situation in the conflict-ridden region.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that since Malaysia has no diplomatic ties with Israel, the government is prepared to activate diplomatic channels through friendly nations in the region to guarantee the safety of all GSF participants.
